# attribute [BackwardDifferentiable]

## Description

Marks a function as being differentiable for backward-mode auto-diff.
Note that in the current implementation, this implies that the method
is also forward differentiable.

This attribute is equivalent to using <span class='code'>[<a href="differentiable-0.html">Differentiable</a>]</span>
